+Cello+ -BTIThe pencil tasted of wood and Den-War stared at the hand-inked music book. He removed the pencil from his mouth and marked another crescendo at bar 50. The book by nature and style looked old, but the paper was crisp and new, the ink fresh, coal black. The notes and stave were flourished, beautiful, unlike the tasteless, printed rubbish of the 21st century. "Instinct," he began to Devereaux, before realising the pencil was now completely blunt and needed sharpening again, "is a matter of a combination of previous memory and upbringing." both ice cream and goo.i look through the photo album of someone I don't know and see a photo of a man on a drab rainy day. i love drab rainy days. he's in the city. the glowing traffic lights are howling at him. red. stop. even though he's not on the road. he's on the pavement. he knows the rain will pour again. he knows these things. he even knows the exact minute, the exact second it will start pouring again. but he looks to the clouds. as if they held the answers to all the questions he scribbled down on his grade 9 Society homework. with a yellow pencil that cost 50c with a pink rubber on the end &nbsboth ice cream and goo.
